Clay - Trinket Box

You will need:-
- White air drying clay
- Rolling pin
- Shape/cookie cutters
- Paint
Take a small ball of clay and form it into the bottom of the box with your fingers.

To help the lid sit snugly, gently flattern the rim.
Take some more clay and roll it out to make the lid. It should be just larger than the rim of the base.
Roll out another piece of clay and use a cookie cutter to cut out a shape to decorate the lid.
Score the lid and the shape to help them join together securely.
You can now 'glue' the shape onto the lid with a little water.
Add a small ball of clay as a handle and it's ready to paint.

Note: Clay can be painted whilst still wet, but be careful not to make it too soggy!
Many thanks to Liz Wensley for this project.
