You will need:- - White air drying clay - Rolling pin - Shape/cookie cutters - Paint |
Take a small ball of clay and form it into the bottom of the box with your fingers. To help the lid sit snugly, gently flattern the rim. |
Take some more clay and roll it out to make the lid. It should be just larger than the rim of the base. |
Roll out another piece of clay and use a cookie cutter to cut out a shape to decorate the lid. |
Score the lid and the shape to help them join together securely. |
You can now 'glue' the shape onto the lid with a little water. |
Add a small ball of clay as a handle and it's ready to paint. Note: Clay can be painted whilst still wet, but be careful not to make it too soggy! |
| Many thanks to Liz Wensley for this project. |
